I am a physician and know the critical need for proper caloric and electrolyte replenishment from the depletion associated with sustained endurance activities. Most endurance failures are not from inadequte training, endurance, pacing or even mental break down. Instead they are from improper hydration and caloric/electrolyte replacement. This blend strikes the perfect balance for me. I created this blend in May 2018 prior to the squaw peak 50 mile trail race. This blend solved every issue I'd been struggling with during longer training runs. It's all I will ever use. It's perfect for road marathons where I carry a conentrated bottle on a belt (3 scoops blend in just enough water to make and fill a 9 oz bottle to carry) and give 2 squirts into about 6-8 oz of water along the course (taken every 2 miles). this equates to 2 powder scoop equivalents to 24 oz water every hour as called for by the blend. (I carry a second bottle with 3 scoops dry powder). At the half marathon mark I fill that bottle with water. In other words, I consume 6 scoops powder and 72 oz water in a 3 hour marathon. I have PR'd everything from races to training routes since I started using this blend (after 14 years of running and now at the age of 46)
