Mocha Mud is so delectable that one craves it. One may even decide to ride just so that one can justify imbibing it. In the abstract, scientific jargon of the research vanguard, it’s freakin’ yummy. But it’s also formulated precisely as a supplement, not a casual snack. Mud is prepared with long chain glucose polymers and protein, so it’s ideal as a meal supplement or pre-ride fuel. It can supply calories and carbs if one wishes to opt for liquid nutrition (and doesn’t like to feel full before a ride), if one wants to top off glycogen stores before a ride, or later on to supplement one’s recovery beverage with further calories and protein after arduous rides.
