This formula was designed and used by INFINIT's head formulation specialist and pro triathlete Colin Riley who is also a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist. Colin wanted a 2nd "ENDURANCE" Blend without any protein that could be used over the final 60-80 minutes of the 70.3 bike leg in order to ensure that the protein would not cause any GI issues but still ensure he was taking in the higher calorie amount of a typical endurance/bike blend. 

After some trial and error, I decided to pair this blend with "Colin's ENDURANCE Blend - 2g PRO" during the bike leg of a 70.3. I was finding my original bike blend (with 3-4 grams of protein) was just a little too much coming off the bike in 2:10-2:20 and hitting the ground running hard I wanted to make sure the protein was out of my gut by the time I started the run.

I specifically use this blend for the final 60-80 minutes of the bike leg of a 70.3 or any similar race simulation workouts where I will be running off the bike. For the first hour of the 70.3 bike leg, I stick with my traditional endurance blend "Colin's ENDURANCE Blend - 2g PRO". This blend propelled me to my best half Ironman finish to date with an overall time of 4:12 (15th overall) at the 2018 Steelhead 70.3 and a new 70.3 bike leg PR of 2:11.
