The INFINIT Library
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege to travel the world and watch you share the joy of racing and an active healthy lifestyle with your families. Regularly, I am asked about how I balance training, racing, my coaching business, and family. I gotta say, it’s not easy but it pales in comparison to the juggling act most of you have to do.
Despite what some folks in the endurance world may try to tell you, science has proven time and time again that carbohydrate is the body’s preferred source of energy. Sure the body can operate solely off of fat and ketone bodies (when you force your body into an metabolic adaptation called "ketosis"), but it will probably feel like you're fighting an uphill battle.
As 2017 comes to a close, we here at INFINIT want to take a look back at the past year and all the fun we had going out and doing what we love to do. Check out this video where we recap our year!
“Like a girl” - A statement long used to belittle women's athletic abilities throughout history. “You throw like a girl,” “you run like a girl,” all phrases that have become so commonplace that you hear them anywhere from an elementary school payground to the corporate workplace. At INFINIT, we see things a bit differently. Swimming like a girl is swimming across the English Channel, biking like a girl is trekking across hundreds of miles of siberia, and running like a girl is just something you do after biking 112 miles and swimming 2.4.
Caffeine is one of the most commonly used drugs in the world with millions (probably billions) of people around the world drinking coffee, tea, soft drinks, energy drinks, and taking various caffeine containing supplements on a daily basis. Why do we love caffeine so much? Whether its the morning cup of Joe or the afternoon energy drink to get over the 3:00 slump, we are obsessed (or should I say addicted) to caffeine! It gets us going, keeps us awake, makes us feel good, and helps us swim/bike/run/paddle/lift/climb faster, further, and heavier than without it!

In the sport of Triathlon, AJ Baucco is known for his personality and his style just as much as his race results. As a former punk rock drummer, AJ is very unique in the sport of triathlon. He spent much of his teenage years touring the US with his band, while living out of a van. When he was in his early 20s, a friend introduced him to the sport of triathlon. Triathlon gave AJ direction in his hectic life and it soon began to consume his life all together.
Maverick Multisport started in 2012 with 3 pros and 2 age group athletes. Maverick Multisport was created by Team Director Chris Hutchens as way for those 5 USA based athletes at the time to operate under the same banner and leverage the power of numbers in a team setting to help secure sponsorships with companies like INFINIT Nutrition. Maverick has been working with INFINIT since the team’s creation to create biking and running custom nutrition blends for all of their athletes.
